Hello lovelies! I recently obtained some beautiful items and wanted to share them with you all. :)
I of course didn't need these books, but they were too lovely to pass up. From now on I'm going to keep an eye open for (cheap) pastel vintage books!

Daniel bought me this gorgeous jewelry box and the pocket watch for Christmas. My grandma gave me most of the jewelry in here, but a few are from antique stores and newer pieces.

I am SO thrilled about this purchase! All December I've been enviously admiring the vintage Christmas items other bloggers have been posting. Now I finally have some of my own! (!!!!!!!) I found these beautiful ornaments at a local antique store. They were already decently priced, but since it was after Christmas they were on sale. I'm currently resisting the urge to go back and buy more. ;)

I know it's a little late, but what was your favorite gift you got for Christmas/Hanukkah/etc? Or have you recently treated yourself to anything amazing? :) x

moonlight drive

Hello lovelies! My Labor Day weekend was fantastic! On Saturday Daniel and I visited a charming little flea market out in the boondocks. One of the markets had the most beautiful fall decorations, it made me so excited for fall! I can't wait to carve pumpkins, wear comfy cardigans, watch Horror/Disney Channel's Halloween movies (Underwraps, Halloween Town, etc...) and drink pumpkin spice frappuccinos! Of course I'm also excited for Halloween, one of my favorite holidays! I'm not sure what my plans will be, but I'm hoping I'll be dressed as Daphne from Scooby-Doo. ;)

Today I visited a few antique stores and bought a few items I probably shouldn't have! I couldn't resist the beaded yellow 60s bag though and the amazing wool green hat! I'm also starting a Richard Scarry collection, I love his illustrations so much.

Lately I've been so obsessed with cartoons. Yesterday Daniel and I finished up Scooby-Doo Mystery Incorporated. The show is on a hiatus I believe, but I cannot WAIT till it starts up again! It's seriously one of the best shows I've seen in a while. I know it's meant for kids, but the plot is so dark and well written! Daniel also introduced me to Batman: The Animated Series. So far I love it, and of course Catwoman is my favorite character. ;)

Hope you all have a great week!

sunday morning, praise the dawning

Hello lovelies! I've been so busy lately, I feel like I haven't posted anything in forever! Last weekend Daniel and I took a mini trip to a nearby town. We toured an old house, ate at our favorite diner, and went thrifting!

Yesterday Daniel and I visited a few charming old buildings and went to an antique mall. The mall had about 400 different booths full of everything you could imagine. I ended up buying vintage fabric, a plaid dress from the 60's, and a wicker purse which was also from the 60's.

My older brother rescued a puppy a few days ago! His name is Crimson and he is a beautiful pit bull mix. We finally met yesterday and we cuddled for the longest time. <3

On Monday I start babysitting full time, which will be nice because I need money for schoolbooks. I have about a month left before I start my classes, I am honestly so anxious! I'm sure it won't be as bad as I think it will be though, last year went pretty well. :/

shopping haul

Hello lovelies! Over the past few days I made some amazing purchases and I thought I would share! ;)

I've been wanting to get a quilt or crocheted blanket for when it gets cooler outside. I was thrilled to find this gorgeous blanket at a thrift store! Part of me wants to dye it pink, but I'm not quite sure how to properly go about that.
Lately I've been strangely obsessed with retro decor, so of course I had to buy this adorable deer planter. I bought it from one of my favorite antique stores. Can't wait to plant some flowers in it!
I got this beautiful tapestry purse from a local antique store for only two dollars! My best friend also got a lovely wicker purse for about the same price, I'd say we did well. :)
I love these vintage clip on earrings, they're a sure way to class up any outfit!
How awesome is this typewriter?! I did some "research" online and apparently it's from 1964. And best of all, it still works. I fully intend to write letters to everyone using this bad boy!
I've been on the hunt for cheap vintage inspired dresses and was thrilled to find this gem at Forever 21. I absolutely love the dainty collar and the unique peach print.
I immediately fell in love with this dress from Forever 21. The collar, bow, and print are so darling!

Thanks for looking at my post! I'm definitely done with spending all my money for now haha. Have you guys purchased anything good lately? :)
